Here's The First Picture of Carrie Underwood Since She Got 40 Stitches

Carrie Underwood has not been seen in public since a Nov. 10 fall at home in Nashville in which the 34 year-old singer said she had to undergo surgery on her broken wrist and also required 40-50 stitches to repair damage to her face. "I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up," she recently wrote in a letter to fan club members. "It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life."

Underwood added that the surgery went well, but she's "not quite looking the same." The singer posted a wintery photo of her face wrapped in a scarf last week, but according to E! News the first image of the country star post-surgery was actually posted nearly a month ago by reality veteran Adrienne Gang. In a Dec. 12 tweet the Below Deck star revealed that she ran into Underwood at the gym one month and two days after the fall, writing "Just worked out next to @carrieunderwood NBD... she is adorable and so gracious... LOVE HER! #BelowDeck."

While Underwood's right arm clearly has a brace on it, the picture does not reveal any obvious scars or stitches on her face, though the left side is not visible. E! noted that when fans asked Gang on Dec. 13 how Underwood looked after the accident, she commented "she looked amazing!... I had no clue she was injured."

E! reached out to Gang, who said she couldn't tell Underwood had suffered an injury. "I had no idea until a tabloid posted my picture with an article attached," she said. "She was lovely. Friendly and gracious. Didn't seem upset or bothered." Aside from the snowy pic, Underwood has not posted a new photo of her uncovered face to Instagram since Nov. 6.
