Khalid rocked the stage at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday, September 18, giving nothing less than his usual 'Free Spirit' energy.

The 23-year soul singer kicked off his set with his 2017 chart topping hit "8teen", followed by fan favorite, "Better." Khalid got sentimental before performing "Location", after acknowledging how much the song changed his life. The singer, who recently celebrated 7 billion streams on Spotify, also revealed that he was "so nervous" after having not performed on stage since 2019.

Despite the nerves, Khalid continued on seamlessly, as he vibed out along with fans to his hit records "Talk", "Young, Dumb & Broke" and "OTW". The Georgia native surprised the crowd by bringing out Tate McRae to perform their summer anthem "working". During a July interview with DIY Mag, Tate, who also hit the Daytime Stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, spoke about the catchy summer hit saying:

"I am so stoked for this song I did with Khalid. I usually release a lot of songs that are pretty emotional but this one is just a straight summer bop. We had such a fun time creating this song — I seriously can't wait for everyone to hear it."

Billie Eilish, Sam Hunt and Coldplay also took the stage on night two of the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Earlier in the day, the Daytime Stage at this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by Samsung featured 24kGoldn, Russell Dickerson, Gabby Barrett, Tate McRae, Conan Gray, Yungblud, All Time Low, Saweetie, The Kid Laroi and Olivia Rodrigo.

If you missed any of the action this weekend, you can relive the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival by tuning in to The CW Network on Saturday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 3rd from 8-10pm ET/PT for a two-night television special.
