A Florida family grieving the loss of a beloved aunt was dealt a second loss -- her body, which was misplaced by the mortician.
The family of Norma Newman went to the Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale to pay their respects on Saturday night, but when they approached the open casket, they saw a complete stranger inside. Newman’s sister, Cuinthia Webbe, said “I went up to view her body, I [said], ‘No, this is not my sister. This is somebody we did not know.'"
Another family member told local media that the funeral home, which had no public comment, had no idea what became of Mrs. Newman. (WEVN)
