The Atlantic Ocean is an enormous body of water. Imagine the odds of jumping in and landing on a shark. They're pretty good, apparently, because that's exactly what happened to a Florida surfer who literally jumped the shark.
32-year-old Stephen Michelena was surfing off the coast of New Smyrna Beach when he jumped off his board and landed on top of a shark. The predator was stunned and reacted by biting the surfer's foot before swimming away. Michelena suffered minor lacerations and was treated at a hospital. (KPRC-TV)
