Crash Test Dummies Become Projectiles At Amusement Park

Thrill-seekers got an unexpected rush at a Jersey Shore amusement park when a pair of test dummies went flying from a roller coaster — and crashed into a hotel below, according to a report Tuesday.

Operators strapped the water-filled figures into the towering GaleForce ride at Playland’s Castaway Cove in Ocean City but they sprung a leak, and slipped out of their seats.

The dummies were hurled from the 125-foot structure, through the air, and on to the roof of a neighboring hotel, damaging its shingles and plywood.

But park vice president Bryan Hartley said riders don’t have to worry about being tossed from the roller coaster.

Nobody was hurt in the bizarre accident and the ride was up and running again later in the day.
