Elizabeth Hurley knows that her relationship with country star Billy Ray Cyrus seems like an “unlikely pairing in some ways.” However, she said “there are a lot more similarities than you’d think.”

Hurley, 61, spoke about her romance with the “Achy Breaky Heart” artist, 65, during a recent appearance on SheerLuxe. During the podcast episode, the actress joked that she and Cyrus are similar because “We have the same hair. Identical hair. Apart from his beard, we’re actually like twins.

“We’ve both lived out of suitcases our entire life,” Hurley shared on the podcast. “And we both also a long time ago moved out of the cities. He’s got a farm in Tennessee, I’ve got one here in Herefordshire, and neither of us really go out much unless we have to ‘cause it’s work. So there are a lot more similarities than you’d think. …There are differences. But because we both like sort of snuggling up, we’re actually quite similar.”

Hurley and Cyrus publicly revealed their relationship with a flirty photo they shared on Easter in 2025. They met while filming Christmas in Paradise together in 2022, and reconnected about two years later. Hurley said in a previous interview with people PEOPLE that “family really matters,” and she appreciates that the country star and her son “get on so well.” She said at the time, “in the past year I’ve really enjoyed starting to get to know some of his kids, too. He’s been so happy making this new album with Braison and Noah, and it was a huge treat being on the set with him when he shot the Hannah Montana [20th] anniversary special with Miley.”

Cyrus and ex-wife Tish Cyrus, 59, share daughter Miley Cyrus, 33, son Braison Cyrus, 32, and daughter Noah Cyrus, 26. Cyrus adopts Brandi Cyrus, 39, and Trace Cyrus, 37, Tish’s two children from a previous relationship, when the former couple got married. Cyrus is also a father to son Christopher Cody, 34, from a previous relationship. Hurley is a mother to son Damien Hurley, 24. She welcomed him with late businessman and film producer Steve Bing. Hurley was previously married to Arun Nayar, 61.
