Big Night From Gallinari Leads Thunder Past Pelicans

Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari's 29 points and the first 3-pointer of Steven Adams' career helped lead the Thunder to a thrilling 123-118 win over Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans last night.

Gallinari dropped 29 points on the Pels on 12-for-18 shooting. He scored 11 of those points in the fourth quarter on 4-for-5 shooting. Adams' 3-pointer came from beyond half court, a one-handed toss just before the halftime horn. Adams did a little shimmy shake when the ball ripped through the net.

The Thunder swept New Orleans 4-0 this season but last night was the first time they'd faced Williamson. He proved to be a handful, scoring a career-high 32 points.

The Thunder got another big night from Dennis Schroder (22 points), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 17 and Chris Paul, heading off to the All-Star Game this weekend, added a double-double with 14 points and 12 assists. CP3 also grabbed eight rebounds.

The Thunder will return to action next Friday night hosting the Denver Nuggets.
