Miranda Lambert Says 'Alone Time' With Brendan McLoughlin 'Made Us Strong'

Back in January, Miranda Lambert celebrated her second wedding anniversary with her husband Brendan McLoughlin. Like so many married couples across the country, Lambert and McLoughlin found themselves spending much more time together this past year amid the ongoing pandemic. According to Lambert, slowing down her busy schedule amid the shutdowns brought her and McLoughlin even closer together.

In a recent interview, Lambert explained how isolating with her husband during the pandemic allowed her to really get to know him better because they spent "so much alone time" together. "I think it was really good," she added.

For those who may not know, Lambert and McLoughlin only knew each other for a few short months before tying the knot. "We didn't date very long before we got married," she explained in the interview, according to People. "And so we sort of got to just really, really, really get to know each other. Cause it was just us two with no distraction, at my farm outside of Nashville. And so I was really thankful for it because it made us really strong."

Lambert said she wasn't the only one who felt she got to "reconnect" with her home life this past year, either. The country singer said many of her friends went through the same experience. "A lot of couples, especially a lot of my friends don't really see their significant other because we're different directions all the time," she said. "But with everything that happened last year, I think everybody was forced to sort of reconnect with themselves and with people that they really love and that are close to them."

Lambert joked that she believes there will "be a lot of engagements and babies or a lot of divorce" when the pandemic is finally over.
