Jimmie Allen is teasing fans with a snippet of another unreleased song on his social media channels, and asked his followers: “Who should I duet this song with ? 🖤”
Allen’s fans gushed over the brief recording of the heartfelt ballad, “If I Still Love You,” and eagerly began to cast guesses to figure out the “Down Home” singer’s mystery duet partner. One Instagram user favored the award-winning artist who brought Allen on the ongoing “Denim & Rhinestones Tour”: “Carrie Underwood would be an awesome choice to duet with you on this song. 🔥🔥.” Others suggested Carly Pearce, Lainey Wilson, Gabby Barrett, Kelly Clarkson Lauren Alaina, P!nk, HARDY and other artists (though some also acknowledged that Allen’s voice sounds “BEAUTIFUL” solo).
Allen has been teasing a few unreleased songs on social media, including “Smalltown Anthem,” an unreleased track that he wrote with Tate Howell, Tripp Howell, Rian Ball and Matt McKinney:”Kick it on back, lay back got all night , burning one up to a moon lit sky, don’t get no better , hell yeah you can bet son, everyday living this Smalltown Anthem.” He’s also set to team up with Callista Clark, Clark revealed after sharing a few teasers on her own Instagram account. That collaboration is set to debut on Friday (January 13).
