Cole Swindell said on Friday afternoon (April 4) that heâs âfinally looking forward to a Monday.â
The award-winning country star posted a sneak peek of an unreleased song as he teased ânewsâ coming up on Monday (April 7). Swindellâs sneak peek arrives shortly after he confirmed details about his fifth studio album, Spanish Moss, which is due to release on June 27. The 21-track record will also include âKill A Prayer,â the title track, and âForever To Me,â Swindellâs wedding song when he married wife and mother-to-be Courtney Little Swindell.
âSpanish Moss has been a work in progress for over 2 years now,â Swindell previously said in a statement. âI knew it would be a tough task following up Stereotype and the success we had from that album, but sometimes a challenge can be motivating and exactly whatâs needed to grow. For me, the album making process has always had a common theme ... best song wins. Although itâs never that simple.
âLife has changed a lot for me in the best way since the last project and I wanted to be able write and sing about those blessings while also not forgetting where I came from and the pain from the past,â he continued. âOne of the beautiful things about music is even though you may not be currently going through something at this very moment, more than likely someone out there IS. I think this album is balanced that way and has a little bit of everything from songs like: âKill A Prayer,â âDirty Dancing,â âForever to Meâ to âDale Jr.,â âCountry Boy Canât Survive,â and âHeads Up Heaven.â âŚI canât wait for everyone to hear the entire album from top to bottom and I truly hope they can find a little of themselves and their own stories somewhere along the way in Spanish Moss.â
