The Union City Police Department has been hit hard by COVID-19. Chief Richard Stephens has been in ICU since the end of December and Lt. Brandon Owens has been in ICU since Saturday.
An effort is underway to raise money to help their families during this time. "To ease some burden from their families, a donation account has been set up through BancFirst. If you feel compelled to donate, you can go to any local BancFirst location and donate to the Union City Officer's Donation Account," said the department in a Facebook post. "Please keep Chief Stephens and Lt. Owens and their wonderful families in your constant thoughts and prayers."
